Sloan Lyons Public Affairs
Eric Sloan is a co-founder and principal who focuses on government relations. For more than 10 years, Eric has been on the forefront of helping to shape public policy in Arizona.
Prior to establishing SLOAN LYONS Public Affairs, Eric worked at Arizona State University in the Office of Public Affairs where he was the State and County Government Liaison. Eric also served as the Director of Government and Media Relations for the Arizona Department of Veteran Services’, where he advocated for legislation related to veteran issues and benefits. In this role Eric secured over $30 million for programs that helped veterans seek a variety of benefits they had earned through their service to our nation.
Eric also served in a variety of analytical and advocacy capacities including as a legislative liaison to the Governor of Arizona and as a Presidential Intern at the American Red Cross Headquarters in Washington D.C.
Eric has served as a member of the Valley Leadership Board of Directors, the City of Phoenix Alhambra Village Planning Committee, is a graduate of Valley Leadership Class 28 and the American Management Association Operation Enterprise Columbia Program, and is a Luke Air Force Base Honorary Command Chief in the Blue Blazer Squadron. He currently serves on the board of directors of ERSG for the Department of Defense, PBS KAET Channel 8, and Phoenix Sister Cities.
