Mari started her career in the homebuilding and development industry at Desert Mountain Properties, as receptionist in the early 1980’s. Within two short years, she grew to the role of Administrative Assistant to the Controller and Manager of Architectural Design. Over the course of the ensuing 15-year period, she further pursued her career with two publicly traded homebuilders, Richmond American Homes and thereafter D.R. Horton-Dietz-Crane. She escalated to the position of Director of Land Planning entitling well over 80,000 single family units within over 200 stand alone and master planned communities.
Before joining Ashton Woods Homes in March of 2013 as Director of Entitlements, Mari worked in a consulting capacity as VP of Land Development with Silver Fern Management assisting multiple builders, developers and venture capital groups to acquire and entitle multiple properties throughout the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.
Predicated on nearly 25 years of experience within the single family residential development industry, Mari has been invited to participate in multiple stakeholder groups assisting in the drafting of the Municipal Development Standards, Codes and Guidelines for the City of Buckeye, Town of Maricopa, Pinal County and the City of Phoenix. She graduated from Chandler High School, attended Mesa Community College and is proud to boast that her father and brother served this county in the United States Air Force.
Mari has served as the Event Committee Chair for Valley Partnership for the past four years and has been an active member for over 6 years. She is active in a variety of civic and cultural organization including the Valley Partnership Community Project, served with the American
Cancer Society Peoria Relay for Life 2011-2012 as the corporate sponsor chair, currently serves on the Care Fund Advisory Board and works with Special Olympics annually as a volunteer.
An important aspect of her life continues to be family, friends and her passion for travel.
